“Parallel Existence” is a sound/video site-specific installation in 49, Sigad Damanhur passage, Fouad Street, Alexandria, Egypt. The work was inspired by a decaying plumbing tube at the back of a partially abandoned office building from the 1960s. Due to the water leaking from the pipe and the cave-like nature of the passage, the space then transformed into what seemed to be a non-normative concrete jungle.

Attempting to portray the uncanny nature of the space and propose an alternative gaze over the state of decay in the city and the melancholy of leaking.
